Oops! I’m getting married!

They say that getting married is fun and exciting. Sure, it is! I can still remember how happy and excited I was when my boyfriend pop the question. It was indeed one of the happiest moments of my life. I said yes to the man I love. But I didn’t realize that I’ll be saying yes to all the stress and panicky moments of preparing for a wedding.

Yes, I’m panicking!

We got engaged last 20 October 2016. (The proposal was so intimate and memorable. I’ll share it one of these days.) Though we both agree that the wedding will be next year (2017), we still have not finalized the date. So during the last quarter of 2016, we were enjoying everything not thinking about preparing for the wedding.

So when 2017 came, we finally agreed to have the wedding in March.

March

March.

March!!!

When the date of the wedding finally sank in. We both realized that we have very little amount of time left to prepare. Though we’ve been visiting suppliers last year, and I know what the wedding will be like (theme-wise), still, the fact that we only have less than three months to prepare, stresses me so much. Who wouldn’t be?

I had difficulty sleeping every night, and while in the office, all I can think about is the wedding. I’m so stressed that pimples start to break out in my face and there’s a lot of weird things happening in my body (Will share this next time). Eeeww!

My fiance told me not to worry. But I know, that if i stop thinking about it, I will only get more stressed. So what my boyfriend advised me was , “Do something you love to distract you”.

“Do something you love.”

I love reading and writing. But I can’t totally focus on reading since I’m so distracted. So I thought of writing. I will write all my worries and the things that stress me out, just like what I used to do before.

Then I thought of doing a wedding blog.

TA DA!!!

I know I’m not the only bride-to-be that is feeling this way. So as a therapy, I will write and share with everyone all my/our experiences and preparations for the wedding in this blog.

I also invite everyone to send their thoughts or questions or suggestions about wedding planning and their experiences (or anxieties) during these glorious days of our lives. I would love to share my experiences, but I would also love to hear yours.

To all my girlfriends out there, let’s help each other to have a wonderful happy ever after wedding.

Thank you in advance and enjoy reading this blog!

Love lots,

Soon-to-be Mrs. F
